Please note, there is a $10 minimum on all orders due to administrative costs.

Proofreading

For completed works in need of a final look-over. Only a few edits needed, such as for grammar, sentence structure, spelling, and punctuation.

Copyediting

For works that need attention to clarity, organization, consistency, tone/voice, grammar, and other sentence-level edits. Does not require rewriting (only rewording and/or restructuring).

For unfinished works that require constructive criticism.

What kind of writing do you edit?

If it has words, I can help you transform it. Anything from academic to creative to professional writing. Partially written or a final draft. One page or hundreds of pages.

I offer the following services: proofreading, copyediting, content/developmental feedback, and format editing.

What are your rates?

I have several editing options and packages available. Proofreading, copyediting, and content/developmental feedback are rated per word, and format editing is rated per hour. Find out more here.

What file formats do you accept?

I request all works be submitted through Microsoft Word so that I can use the track changes features to make my edits fully transparent. For other formats or special requests, please Contact Me.

How do I view or keep track of the edits you make?

In Microsoft Word, I use track changes so that you can view every change I make and choose whether you want to “accept” or “reject” each edit, giving you 100% agency over your writing. I also include comments if I see a potential error that needs your attention before I make a change.

What does developmental feedback include?

Developmental feedback is constructive and analytical and covers aspects of writing such as the following:

In academic and professional writing: idea development, thesis and argument polishing, paragraph structure, organization
In creative writing: character, plot, and idea development; paragraph structure; organization; writing for a specific audience; accuracy; consistency

I share feedback through the track changes comments of your document in addition to the body of my email delivery.

What’s included in the delivery of my order?

In addition to a document featuring my track changes, I include a “clean” copy of your project with all edits applied. If feedback is included, I will add comments in the margins of the track changes document in addition to the body of my email delivery.

How do I start an order or inquire about an order?

Please complete the form on the Contact page to start an order or make an inquiry. All orders will be met with a contract to confirm the service and a request for a deposit of 25% of the final bill.
